You career background:

· 8-10 years of experience in brand, business, or comms strategy

· Experience with: Brand Planning, Positioning/Value Proposition, Creative Development

· Ability to manage primary and secondary research, translating information into deep customer insights

· Direct responsibility for developing content strategies, consumer segments and go-to-market strategies that inform product and campaign launches

· You are comfortable engaging senior-level clients and agency colleagues in business and marketing planning

· Direct experience in the finance category and Gen Z focused brands/campaigns is a plus

 

What You Need to Know About the Role:

Your first priority will be to lead strategy for The Gate, MSQ’s full service creative agency, with secondary responsibilities on MSQ NA projects/new business.

 The Strategy Director will lead the brand and communications direction of all accounts and all new business efforts. You will partner with The Gate leadership team – President, Chief Creative Officer and Managing Director/Media, as well as the Chief Strategy Officer of MSQ NA.

 The day-to-day:

· Partner with other agency leads to guide our most senior clients towards bold and innovative solutions.

· Lead strategic initiatives on all new business pitches and bring insights that drive unexpected creative work.

· Demonstrate an analysis of category, brand, cultural and people trends that highlights opportunities for clients’ businesses.

· Partner with creative, media, mar-tech, production, and client service to create blueprints for solving client problems and delivering world class work.

· Translate strategic discoveries into inspiring briefs and roadmaps for our clients.

· Deliver creatively inspiring, business-driving briefs across advertising, content, test-and-learn, and CX projects.

 Our headquarters are in New York City, with staff currently working from the office 3 days per/week and working remote on Mondays and Fridays. Note: The agency has adopted a year-round half day Friday policy assuming all client commitments are satisfied prior to 1pm.

Salary Range:

This position will pay between $200K - $250K depending on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and tenure.
